shipping antiques

I have to say that I just returned from the postoffice. I shipped the 1858 remington and I didn't even have to lie!! Why, Because they never even asked me what was or was not in the package. I just got lucky I guess.[:D]well thanks to all who replied but I have just one more question or clarification. If the firearm is considered antique by the ATF then shouldn't it be considered just a regular parcel by UPS. There is no license needed to purchase it online so why do you suppose all the hassel?
