I can go to 2 gigs as well but don't really know if it would be worth it. Check out Crucial.com. I can upgrade for about $60 but don't think my computer would be any faster.

    RUGERGUNZ:

I've often wondered what all this meant. If you're really bored please translate. My son lives out of state and got me this thing to keep me off the streets. Turnabout I guess. Said it'd be all I'll ever need. Turns out to be more than I know how use.

    DIM 8400, P4, 630 (3.0GHZ), HT, 2MB, EM64T
    128MB PCI-E X16 ATI RADEON X300 SE, DIM, P
    160 GB NCQ SATA,7200 RPM,DIM,TIED,P
    48X CD-RW/16X DVD+/RW,DIM,P
    512MB DDR2 SDRAM AT 533MHZ-2X256MB,DIM
And some 2.0 GB goober you stick in the front.

    DIM 8400, P4, 630 (3.0GHZ), HT, 2MB, EM64T dell dimension 8400 3.0g 2mbcache processor

128MB PCI-E X16 ATI RADEON X300 SE, DIM, P that your pci express video card, it is a onboard video card so the 128mb is actually robbing your ram

160 GB NCQ SATA,7200 RPM,DIM,TIED,P thats your hard drive 160gb is the size 7200 is the speed sata=serial ata 150, a vast improvement over the eide 100/133 cables

    48X CD-RW/16X DVD+/RW,DIM,P your cd/dvd drive

    512MB DDR2 SDRAM AT 533MHZ-2X256MB,DIM that your ram he is asking about you have 2 256 sticks totaling the 512 {half a gig}
And some 2.0 GB goober you stick in the front. depends on your os, vista can utilize a thumb drive as ram but only on a 3to1 basis not the full 2 gig

you probably knew most of that

I always wanted to try liquid cooling... being a plumber ;) i could fashion my own system, the only thing that worries me is condensation.

I have put a box outside when it was -20f and overclocked 1ghz higher. The pc Im on now which I built, CHEAPLY btw is a 1.66 Ghz AMD sempron overclocked to 1.88Ghz and it stays at about 114f which is GOOD for an AMD overclocked. AMD are notoriously hot chips, I'm using an aero 101 I love to play americasarmy.com and truecombatelite.net/ both are free games and are awesome! I have a fairly cheap graphics card a 7200gs but it all works pretty good I never drop below 30fps on either game in any map ;)

for 500 bucks this box screams ;)

i saved a long time for that, took a very long time and income tax rebate kicked in the rest, besides 1 grand would pay for about 5 weeks of insurance, then i'm still screwed the rest of the year

When I upgraded from half a gig to one gig I didn't notice any difference. It might be different going from one to two.

I could upgrade to two gigs, but I'd have to buy a new computer to do it. I think I'll wait.

we all had to start somewhere, i remember being absolutely terrified when i installed my first 14.4 modem, and then again with the new lighting fast 8X cd rom, i remember a group of my geek friends standing there in aw at the fast program loading it did on my 66mhz cpu, it was a big step up from floppy drives in win3.1, i made a clipboard out of my first 486 motherboard still use it everyday
