    Didn't want to hijack the thread about paper patching, and sure it has prolly been posted here when the movie came out but...........

    Anybody know who the old boy that helps Wahlberg out is and what he is more famous for?

    its on again, I remember he shot at a van of stew, supposedly they used that same bullet in another gun, but after shooting in the head of the target it was mangled so they could not get a match of rifling.
    after going thru the head of the target, do you really think the build would be so mangled?

    Just saw Shooter last night. It is a really good movie. Mark Wahlberg is great in it. I highly recommend it!

    Watched it last night ... in the leading credits I saw it was from the book "Point of Impact"

    Although the name did sound familuar I didn't think much of it at the time, about 10 minutes into it I realized I read the book 10 years or so back.

    Movie was well done ... worth the time and money!

    i thought it was good. only part i didnt like was when there were getting attacked by the helicopter that the guy was holding the m4 by the magazine while shooting it. i dont know about you but i was always taught never to hold them by the magazine because of it being the weakest point of the gun.

    I too enjoyed the movie and remember the book mentioned some years ago. Didn't catch the guy holding the mag while firing his M-4.
