What's for dinner? Anyone working on it already?

I've been in the kitchen for the past hour, at a pause right now. Here's what's cookin....

    Handrubbed and Braised Beef Loin
Veggies (Red Potatoes, Turnips, Carrots, Onions) in a Whiskey(Jack Daniels) Sauce
Corn Bread (obviously not started yet)

We have a bunch of chicken thawed that we are going to grill tonight. She wants BBQ'd and I want to do something different. Something with bourbon or something sweet and tangy.

    Any idea?

Meatloaf. Slow cooked. 175-200* (Tri-blend.) Beef, Pork, Veal. Italian bread crumbs, 3 eggs, minced fresh garlic and onion, A-1 sauce blended in. Salt/Pepper, some Cajun seasoning. Two small loafs. Ketchup applied during the last phase.

Rigatoni/Sea shell Parmesian noodles. Three slices of Provalone cheese, sour cream, butter, olive oil, minced fresh garlic, salt/pepper.

Green beans, olive oil, butter, salt/pepper. Minced fresh garlic.

Left over KC Masterpiece St. Louis style BBQ ribs, Country Bob's Honey Habenero coated. Baked in oven with the meat loaf last 20 minutes or so.

    What do you have going?

When I cook out I try to fix enough for several meals at once so the question of how to cook doesn't really come up.

    A typical session might include
    beef ribs
    hamburgers
    brats
    pork ribs
    chicken

This leaves plenty of options for various seasonings.

One of my favorites is pork pudding (may substitute any other meat)

    boneless ribs
    onions
    plenty of bbq sauce
wrap in tightly sealed heavy duty aluminum foil - put on the grill after you're done with the open flame items, shut down top vent, after your meal, turn package and shut down lower vents, too. Leave on grill 'til charcoal goes out. Voila` pork pudding.
