cat problem, need advice, pelase
We found a kitten (female) in our neighborhood and took her in. She's about 10 weeks old (already been to the vet for shots, etc.). Our other two cats were a bit standoffish at first, but our 7-yo male, Noah, has taken quite a liking to her.
However, our 5-yo female, Pants, has started crapping in the one spot where the kitten went pee when we first brought her in (no problems now, she's used to the litter box).
The spot is on top of our guest bed in our upstairs bedroom. Almost every day we find a nice present of poop in the center of the bed, the same place the kitten piddled.
When the kitten messed there, we immediately cleaned with Zero Odor, an excellent product which has worked very well for us in the past. Obviously it didn't do the trick this time, and our older female is trying to assert herself (or get back at us) over the kitten.
So.....how do we prevent the cat from continuing this? Will it perhaps go away when the kitten gets fixed (at least another 2 months to reach the right age)? Or are there other methods we can use?
TIA.

Get a pit bull.
We have two big dogs already. They think the cats are little dogs to play with.0 -

With the female thing it's a territorial.
With the male, he might just be looking for the new kitten as a girlfriend.0 -
There seems to be a bit of a jealously prob...Pay a bit more attention to the older female ...let her know she is still "number one" in your eyes..
Second, get another litter box ....its a "pecking order" thing...
Third...Wash all the bedding in Massengil Douche...Add a couple of bottles to the water in the wash machine...Use another bottle on the mattress.... A lot of products for pet odors do no work...Massengil douche works extremely well...Available at any drug store..
WHat works very well is double sided tape...works great for keeping cats off of counters etc until they are trained, so you can try it on the bed...will need a fair amount if the bed is big....also try covering the comforter or bedspread with another blanket...or putting cookie sheets on the bed...Scares the cat when they jump on them...0 -

Borrow select-fire's dog. I can assure you, the problem will go away. [:D]
I always go inside before bringing him inside to the Vet to warn them to remove the cats [;)]0 -

I asked for advice, I was not bitching.
For those that offered constructive advice and ideas, thank you.0 -
Get a litter box for each cat. They will stake claim to their own. 0
