Building a Mans Garage..Ideals?

Im building a 42'x35' garage adjacent to my 24"x35'workshop.Its gonna be storage for my two motorcycles,a hangout/party/beer drinkin/gatherin type place.Id like some ideals on finishing off the walls,painting/epoxying the floor,cool signs,ect,ect.It will have a small bathroom with sink and toilet,valted cielings,and thinking of a hanging propane heater.If you got pics of yours or any other cool garages lets see um...I know them gearheads got some nice garages!

    When we finished our basement in delaware we used steel studs for the walls, and saved a bunch of money on home owners insurance because of the reduced fire risk.

    if its gonna be a "MANCAVE"..you need a urinal on the wall..dont purchase cheap floor paint..it wont last on concrete..wire it for stereo speakers while you are building it [4 corners]..also cable/sat. if you have the room in the bathroom consider a freestanding/ shower insert/fiberglass..and a mans sink the big utility ones about 18" deep..build lots of work bench space..you can't have enough..consider putting your work benches on casters that will lock/brake..easy to move and clean..do you have drains in the floor?..you should..look around old carryouts or bars..shebay for neon signs..ask friends too they usally are willing to donate/if they get to hang out..designate a corner for the tv entertainment section..on flooring they make the tiles/linoleum to put down in hundreds of styles..put in more electical outlets than you will ever need..you will need them...and lighting is very important especially if you don't have windows..flourescent works good depending on ceiling hieght..consider putting some 8' bulbs on the walls over your work space area/where you will be working on your bikes etc.hanging propane heaters work good if your walls/ceilings are insulated..just can't open the big garage doors or the heat goes..out...we need pics..[:D][8D]...Loko

    Right! figure what you need and add 30%, you will fill it up in a hurry.

    Ideally it would be best if it were bigger...with a bucnh of escape routes for evading that one guy in the neighborhood that you really don't want there.

    In an ideal world we wouldn't need a man garage because women would be mute and nymphomaniacal.

    My ideal men's world would include a jukebox filled with Jimmy Buffett music.

    Forget the urinal and just plant 3 trees about 20' from the back door.

    Forget the wet bar for a while, a friend of mine has no life since putting in the bar and stools.Good ol boys just hang out and come at all hours.

    Cant go any bigger or i would[:D] Im in the planning stages right now for early spring,im building it myself as i was in construction for years.It will have drains.Id be afraid to put a shower in as some friends would never leave,i can see it now..(Hey man,me and the old ladys splittin up..can i stay in your garage for awhile) They make this epoxy floor paint thats suppose to be durable,lots of different colors..looks good to.
