Sally Fields
If her "friend's" life is so complicated that she cannot find time once a week to take a pill, she has far more serious problems than low calcium in her bones. Were talking about take one pill once a week. This is not 4 times a day, but once per week.
If Sally Fields' "friend" is this dim witted, a judge somewhere should declare her unworthy of owning a firearm, driving a car, or using a cell phone. Shot! How the heck is she going to remember to take her bone pill on the first of the month if she can't remember to take the pill every Monday.
Here's a tip. They make these neat little things called a "pill box" it has a different hole for every day of the week. Place the bone pill in the Thursday box. Then look in the box every day. On Thursday you get a "surprise" treat.
Morons!

Pardon me.

It's those commercials for that bone pill that women only need to take once a month. The man selling point is the other pill has to be taken once a week and that is such an inconvinence to her busy lifestlye. Seems to be a pretty weak selling point for a drug.
My luck Sally Fields is probably your mother.0 -
She has trouble swallowing.
At least that's what Burt Reynolds said.0 -

No. My mother stalked Meat Loaf, not Burt Reynolds.
FWIW, I think it would be HARDER to remember to take a pill 1x/month than 1x/week or even daily.
Just trying to give the dog his monthly heartworm pill is a PITA.0 -

Yeah, they make little heart stickers to place on the calendar to remind you to give the dog the heartworm pill.0 -

Yeah but it is difficult to stick those stickers on the on-line calendar. It is sort of like using White-Out in MS Word.0 -
While I do not own any camouflage or a ski mask, I suppose this rant about little old innocent Sally Fields might disqualify me form owning a firearm for being a little unstable. 0 -

Thing is about those pills for brittle bones: After you take them you can't eat and you have to sit straight up for 30 minutes. That is the inconvenience, not actually taking them. So if you can cut that down to once a month, why not?0 -

I eat all my meals standing over the kitchen sink. Takes about a half hour. I guess I don't see what the big deal is...

Pladster, if worrying about Boniva ads is the largest worry you have, man you have got the world by the tail. I don't suppose that it occured to you that it is a script and that there really is no such friend? That oughta keep you up at night. 0 -
Help is on the way. Now they have a shot that you take once a year. No more pills. Takes fifteen minutes.
I watch doctor what's-his-name on Sunday mornings. [:D]0 -

Gun, no. Ski mask, yes. [8D]0 -
Sally Fields ruined Smokey and the Bandit.
Sumbich!
She is better than that ugly skank Sandra Locke that Clint Eastwood put on his movies.0 -
I posted about the same commercial a while back..only titled, do you set aside time or something to that effect...
I ask if the person has to actually set aside time every day or once a week to take a pill, schedule it in at sayyyyy 10:30 Wed the 28th, to take a pill?????????
For what its worth, if you need to set aside time to take a pill, you are in trouble, cause its obvious you cant remember a thing...*LOL0 -

Actually I'll sleep much better now. THanks.
Mrs. Plaid says I really needed to hear this from you. She has to listen to most my rants. Actually, most of the time I'll tighten my jaw as I think about something stupid (politics) and she ask what I'm thinking about. She thinks I might be mad at her. I'll tell her what it is and she will roll her eyes. I figure she asked so it shouldn't surprise her.0 -

the big deal is that you could not eat for 30 more minutes and then you would have to sit straight up, THEN you could eat. Many older people that take those pills have problems sitting straight up for 30 minutes.0 -

How in the world does anyone expect busy people to set aside time once a year for a shot?0
