Tired...
Ever since the time change....2 of the "older' cats I have are okay with it and they accept what time I get out of bed....
Now, my little (yea right on the little) bengal, he isnt okay with the time yet....I am usually out of bed by 5:30, and even though I am not working anymore, I am still out of bed by that time....Well since the time went back, its 4:30...and he lets me know its time to get up in no uncertain terms....he will lick my forehead, he will grab the covers in his teeth and pull them off me, then he bites my knees, my toes, fingers etc....he doesnt stop until I am up...
They are NOT hungry...After I get up he goes and sleeps...
and since the time change?... I am dead tired..

I'd go to bed, but I really don't want to. Work was a pain in the ass tonight. I spent a good 30 minutes trying to put as single one-ton pallet of poultry feed on the floor...had to squeeze it between two other pallets that were already there using an electric pallet jack, which only added to the problem because it adds an extra 2 feet onto the length of the whole works, and the isle wasn't that wide to begin with. I would have used the hand pallet jack, but the load was too heavy to move by hand.
Other than that, it was pretty damn slow today, which was probably worse. Now my feet are tired and I still have homework to do.0 -
I know what ya mean. I'm wore out from fishing all day. Not used to it. Need to practice more. 0 -

Then a poster presentation about ice storm damage at noon
Another 7 page paper due on Fri....three more finals between now and then.

We salute you Mr. Electric Pallet Jack Operator. While others operate propane/electric forklifts, you must suffer the drudgry of walking behind your load. We sleep soundly knowing that whether it's Betsy Bovine's Bull Semen applicators or some useless widget in hardware, you navigate the aisles to deliver your cargo for eight bucks an hour. Get some sleep kid, you've earned it.[8)]0 -

That's funny. You should submit it to Budweiser. Maybe they'd use it.0 -

Hey, Catpealer is back. I figured the guy was enjoying his vac too much and ignoring this place...or worse. They kissed and made up. 0 -

You need to hit the weights man.I used to move 1 ton loads exclusively with a hand jack and I only weight about 125# at the time.0 -

Baby.
So far, I've been at work since 0400, been in the control room about 45min total and when I am in the control room, it's only to make adjustments to the systems, change things, or run some lab tests. I've yet to take a break or eat anything.
It's 100+ outside in the plant, humidity is about 60%, and our shutdown is NOT going as planned. Our department isn't the one doing the shutdown, but we're screwed all to hell from the power and water outage. It's 11:30 now and I won't be getting home until around 1700.
Then I get to get up at 0300 in the morning and do it all over again.
This "Drenched in your own sweat for 12-13hrs/day" stuff is for the birds.
Time for a beer.0
