Yote hunting
Want to give some coyote hunting a try. What are some calls that are needed. Thinking a Howler (Primos Hot Dog), rabbit distress call (Primos Still Cottontail) , and a mouse squeaker (Primos mouse Squeeze). What sequence should I call and how long should I wait between calling? Any other things I should look at.
Thanks

Next week my cousin and I are gonna give yote hunting a try. We both have not done it before. I'll be using my new CZ 550 in .243 and he'll be using remington 700 in .308 This will be in very open country.
Question: If we hunt in hilly forest where shots may be max 50 yards give or take will a 12ga shotgun loaded with buck shot work well or should I stick to the 243.0 -
Not sure if you are talking mouth or electronic call.
Do yourself a favor and get the electronic call. Either tape or self contained/digital. I've had the best luck with the rabbit in distress call. Push play and sit back and wait![8D]

All are good calls. You just need to learn to use them correctly. I call for 20-30 seconds then scan for movement, then call again. I start at a low pitch and slowly get louder each time I call. I try to call about every 4-5 minutes. Practice Practice Practice. Don't get discouraged. I average 1 coyote about every 8-10 set-ups. 0 -
