Losing sleep, dealing is tough...
On June 8th, it will be 3 years since my big brother passed away. We were very close, and his death shook me to the core. He had lived at my place for the last 12 years.
He did not believe in Jesus Christ, or even God.
Last week, I started to go through his things for the first time, and it is incredibly hard. There is such a huge emptiness.

There is nothing to be sorry about Doug. Losing a friend or family member is definitely a tough pill to swallow. It would take a long time for me to get over that. Mine is not only my brother, but a very good friend as well. Hang in there.

He may not have believed in God, but ask yourself this: is God so human and limited that He would not believe in your brother?

When you meet your bro again one day in Heaven, he'll probably just pat you on the back and say, "Guess you were right..."

I don't mean to make light of your loss, but sometimes humor helps. It's never easy to come to terms with loss, but you know what? Your brother is fine now. You take what time you need to stop feeling so empty and know you got a whole lot of shoulders to lean on right here in this forum.0 -

I'm very sorry to hear that Doug...that has to be tough. We are all given a choice on this side of eternity...I'll never understand why some turn it down. We can rest in the fact that ultimately, God is in control and "all things work together for the good of those that love Him". Take care friend.0 -

Death is but a tranformation to another plane where the souls exist with "God", "higher power" whatever you want to call the creator.
I believe that with all my heart! Your brother may be in that place we call heaven or assigned to be an "angel" to watch over you and to insure that things go well in your life.
I have had a couple of surprise demonstrations in my life that I don't care to discuss that convinced me that there is much more to come. My brother had a near death experience that supported my experiences and another family member handed down a story of similar experiences.
Of course this can all be explained scientifically by experts. If you see a flying UFO and it buzzes your head, it will be explained by others as a scientific event, but you will know what you saw, and heard, etc.
We are spiritual beings having but a human experience, and then we move on as the catipiller becomes the butterfly!
