Cant find a flashlight no where around here since I started using head lamps. Much easier to work with when both hands are free.

I use Cabelas Alaskan Guide with the white bulbs. It has both a single Xenon and 3 LED bulbs. Claims to burn for 120 hours on three AAA's in the LED mode.
The LED gives a good light for close work and the Xenon throws a decent beam out to about 50 to 75 feet.

Picked up 24 Sanyo 2500mAh NI-MH batteries and two AC/DC chargers for less than $100.00 at the time. I have not bought AA batteries in over five years now.

Get a mini mag lite, surfire, or similar, and one of those shake-n-shine ones. That way you have a good small bright light and you've got another light where you don't need to worry about batteries...

I keep one in my pocket all the time. I forgot what model but Its the small 3 1/2 inch one that takes 3 AAA's and blows away my 6 D cell mag! [:D]

For a rechargeable I like the Streamlight "Stinger". I have had one for several years and it works great. I think I might be afraid of the dark cause I own a bunch of flashlights.

Have to agree with you on the Streamlight for a rechargeable. As for a Lithium battery type I think it's a SUREFIRE

I have a bunch of Maglights and they work fine for me. I also use a Petzel headlamp. Somehow I just can't get myself to believe I need a $200 "tactical" flashlight. Now if it was an "assault" flashlight...

Make sure that you get an LED type rather than a bulb type. Much brighter, longer lasting and shock resistant. Streamlight makes a good one [8D]

I like my rechargable 4 D cell flashlight, if not Streamlite and Pelican make some good lights. Of course dont over look the target brand because of their cheap price. I bought one to use when I didnt want to use my more expensive ones, little did I know it turned out to be a great light. www.cdnninvestments.com have the Target brand in stock.

Hang on there Hobby,............I just called one of my suppliers that is a Streamlight distributor, and gave him the model number for the one you want.
He is gonna call me back with a price as soon as he gets the chance.
    Well,......not a huge difference.
98 bucks, and that includes shipping.
They are also on eBay too, but I am sure you know that![8D]
