Laramie Peak Camping Trip (pic heavy)

Last weekend some buddies and I headed out to the Laramie Peak area for some camping during our mid-term break.

ECC I finally saw some SNOW!!!! I'm not quite as jealous of you now![:D]

We camped four nights and had a blast! I love the area, reminded me somewhat of Montana's mountains, went from prairie to forest & mountains fast.

Didn't do any fishing while we were there, I thought about it. We ended up just hiking around the mountains and doing some bouldering. I absolutely loved the area, really beautiful!

It only rained/snowed on us one day, made that one day pretty miserable (crappy, old tent), but that storm put about 5-6 inches of snow on the top of Laramie Peak.

We hiked the trail up Laramie Peak on our last day, 4.2 miles one way and climbed 3000ft over the last 2.5 miles. It was a rough hike up, but was definitely worth it!!
