I have a question for all to think about.
Like a lot of folks, I have a job. I work, they pay me, I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as they see fit.
In order for me to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a random urine test, which I have no problem with.
What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test. Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check, because I have to pass one to go earn it for them?
Please understand I have nothing against helping people get back on their feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sit on his or her butt while taking drugs.
Think the State would save money if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check ?

However, a urine test demanded by a public entity violates the Fourth Amendment to the Constitution. These freeloading, goldbricking people have rights, including the right to get stoned and do nothing productive.0 -

Welfare is the rich, powerful white man's way of keeping any and all minorities exactly where they are - minorities - surely not by sheer numbers but rather by the money, power and influence they ultimately do not possess and cannot wield.
The game is an old one. The sheckles given away out of our tax dollars are just a drop in the bucket as far as the real moneymen are concerned. And the cost to us is of little concern to them as well, when compared with the overall control it maintains.0 -
A good solution would be to give a drug test a few times during the first year of benefits-at random.
You don't want to take the test-OK-no more checks for you. That is what they did to us in my LE agency-no test-OK- You're fired-no check. Worked for us.

How do you expect the morons in Huntington WV to get crack and methamphetamine if they have to pee in a cup? Most of those folks are toothless hillbillies of the ninth generation. Maybe that is why they call it "hillbilly heroin."

Some employers (govt agencies [;)] ) either won't, or have trouble asking for a urine sample, after a person's been in an accident. Let alone asking a normal person out of the blue to do one. They just don't want the hastle. Other employers just turn a blind eye to it because their people are making them money. Trust me.
Good luck getting an unobligated, stay at home welfare recipient to do anything but what they want to.0 -

great ideal but our fu(ed up government would start with social security, i can see a 70 year old failing the test due to a poppy seed bagel, loosing their home during the year fight with them over it

Citizens are required to submit to NICS and 4473 forms to buy a firearm. The president could easily start WWlll but is not required to submit to medical tests. If I remember correctly Bill Clinton refused to submity to a medical exam before his last election.0 -

Since this is a gun forum...
I propose there be a markmanship aspect to the pee test. Say for example... put the test cup eight feet away for guys, three feet for gals...and directions printed in English
