I agree that both the KKK and radical Islamists are a threat, but I cannot agree that the KKK is the bigger threat. The numbers just arent't there to support that theory.

I do believe there are A LOT more radical Muslims than KKK members, worldwide, and probably even inside the USA.

Danny! We have an area not far from here where the Klan rules. It is called Moon Lake, nothing but a bunch of pot bellied, beer swilling, claiming to be White Christians trying to preserve the white race. They proudly fly the American and Christian flag over at their headquarters. If you search deep enough you will find religious leaders that are very high up in the Klan and spur them on to commit their Nazi actions.[xx(]

I think there are areas like that everywhere in every state, and I'm sorry they claim to be white, Christian or American. I think they are just sub-human trash.

there is no comparison between radical muslims and the kkk. only a terrorist lover like hairy would even suggest something like that.

And there are some members here who just hate ALL Christians and can make un-substantiated accusations with the click of a mouse.
Of course, facts or evidence are not required.
They simply hate the idea that this country was founded on the principals of christianity.
I wonder if that makes these folks more dangerous to America than the Islamofascists?
Probably not since, like the klan, it would take some credibility to be considered "dangerous".

How does that make hairy a "terorist lover" I agree with hairy on this one also. The kkk was and is still today a terrorist organization continuing to preach hate to this day. You might want to learn your history before disagreeing with people.

If the KKK could get a nuke, they would not use it. Radical Islamics would. If the KKK could get a chemical weapon, they would not use it. Radical Islamics would. If the KKK could get a biological weapon, they would not use it. Radical Islamics would. The KKK never slit the throats of defenseless flight attendants. Radical Islamics did. The KKK never flew planes into buildings. Radical Islamics did. The KKK never bombed the Cole. Radical Islamics did. The KKK never bombed our African embassies. Radical Islamics did. The KKK do not kidnap people and cut their heads off. Radical Islamics do. The KKK do not murder school teachers. Radical Islamics do.

There was a time when the KKK was violent, those days are gone. They are just a bunch of has beens now. Radical Islamic, on the other hand, is here and now very dangerous.

I have to agree with you David.

The KKK is interested in burning crosses and ruffling feathers. They might even lynch someone every so often.

The Islamofascists want to blow things up and cause as much death and destruction as possible.

    That's a terribly large difference.

...The KKK is a has been sect, all bluster and no action today.
I agree with Nunn that there are probably more musloons in America today that would/will do us harm than KKK kooks.

Notice I did not say "radical" musloons. Studies and polls done by middle eastern countries such as Kuwait, Saudia Arabia, etc. show that 80% of musloons AGREE with what so called "radical musloons" believe in; an Islamic world, and the destruction of Western style civilization.

...The term "radical musloons", are the PC crowds buzz-words, to use to try and minimize the actual threat the vast majority of musloons are to the civilized world.

... The latest estimate of active musloons? ONE BILLION.
60% of this 80% said they would or do give aid in one form or another, to the musloons that perpetrate violent acts against the infedels

The PC crowds urge to use the term "radical" in front of the word musloon each time an act of terrorism is committed serves to make it appear as if the perpetraters of theses acts are almost an anomoly among the musloon crowd; when in fact so called moderate musloons comprise a very small minority of the musloon population.

... Just where in the hell are these fine upstanding "moderate" musloons? Of all the BIG musloon groups in this country alone, where is their outrage at what the "radicals" are doing? Why aren't there TV ads day in and day out condemming the pathetic acts of violence? Why aren't there million musloon marches? Rather conspicuously absent from that front, aren't they? Maybe because there are very few actual moderates.

If I were a musloon I'd be screaming condemnation of these jihad jerks, making me and mine look bad.

...Do the math; 80% are in agreement...60% would or do help with the jihad...that's 80 & 60% of ONE BILLION.
We will pay a high price for not doing what is needed in this war, or rather our kids and grandchildren will pay a high price.
This PC crap is so stinking rampant that if Uncle Bin was surrounded with women and kids, we'd pass on taking him out to avoid maybe killing the women and kids, and???? It's war, people die, it's unpleasant and nasty...that's why it's called war.

And no, they have no huge government or military machine behind them so they wont be "invading" our shores but, with little to work with they brought us to our knees on 9/11. The next time may very well be far worse, and there will be a next time.
Our fine poiliticians seem to have forgotten what these scumbags accomplished on 9/11, and the libs just have never thought that the problem actually exsists and that a good "sit down" over a cup of tea would simply rectify any problem if one did exsist...[;)]

...now I feel better, think I'll go have a valium now...[:D]

Well, there is a new kid on the block. The CCC or C of CC. Tancredo Has Been Tied To This Organization (Or At Least Espouses The Same Rhetoric). Sounds Eerily Similar To The KKK. But, They Do Make Some Good Points Concerning Immigration:
"With virtually unlimited funding, Leftist control freaks work nonstop to destroy the American way of life by promoting minority rights and privileges at the expense of ordinary citizens. The enemies of American culture and tradition are also helping swarms of illegal aliens cross the border and bring poverty, crime, and disease into the United States."

Hairy might have brought the KKK subject up to deflect the negative perspective that many Americans show today toward the NAACP's Civil Rghts Movement's celebration of MLK's birthday, to include, their month long Black History activities. The KKK howling is a primary deflection strategy when their racist oriented activities are taking any kind of heat.

I think Saxon Pig pretty much nailed the KKK's effectiveness as a danger to the American people. If we look back through history we have a few examples of where their acts were murderous. What magnifies this in the public's eye is the media, which treats these incidents akin to the daily diet of Holocaust activities . In effect, the daily lives of all Americans are bombarded with these few examples until too many white folks see themselves as pitiful specimans of the human race where their treatment of black's are concerned. Picture this, if you will: During the 1960s and 1970s black hate groups like The Black Panthers murdered white men, women, and children. During this very short period of time, thousands of hate crimes involving assault and battery, to include, rape and murder were committed by blacks against white people all across America, and overseas. However, the media, along with those in education have buried these hate crimes so they will never be discussed or treated as Holocaust material like the Jasper, Texas or Philadelphia, Mississippi incidents! Buried them so that they will seldom, if ever, be shown to the American public 24/7 - 365 days a year, or taught to our children! With this in mind, there should be no wonder at all, to anyone whatsoever, as to why so many white people today have a guilt complex where race is concerned. This type of oppressive society has bred an abundance of ignorance among the masses, simply by the dumbing-down of Americans.

I agree, too, that it is good to remember the KKK as a racist organization. However, when it comes to which hate group(s) is the bigger danger to Americans today, the NAACP's radical wing, and militant Islam are potent adversaries.

    How many KKK members are undercover FBI(or other law enforcement)agents? 10%, 30%, 80%?? [}:)]

A good bit of the rest are paid informants.

Anyone who thinks that all KKK members are the aforementioned puss gutted, beer swilling stereotypes lives a very sheltered life.
Those are only the "disposable" ones that you are allowed to see.
The others could be your quiet neighbor. You know the farmer, retired military officer, cop, banker, etc with the America first convictions that you agree with for the most part and maybe even admire a little bit?
Those are the ones that might be dangerous!

I hate to hazard a guess as to the number of mudering panthers that are, in my opinion, hiding in their ranks. And, ceratinly not to even ponder the criminals among them who have been involved with hate crimes, again, IMO. Why? Do you think for a NY minute they are clean? "Clean" as in discussing criminals, not as in how a racist black would see the English language as in Biden-Speak.

So, after all your blabbering, we come up with the answer: NONE.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful insights. LOL

Are you denying that black militants, both civilian and military, were not murdering, raping, and killing innocent men, women, and, children at home and abroad, during the period I have noted Hairy?

My charge about the NAACP needs no clarification, Hairy. Now tell us about your radical brothers in the NAACP and Islam. You can begin with the one dummy racist brother, also connected to Islam, who was with the 101st Airborne who killed and injured his own comrades. Care to comment on the filth like him generated by a radical civil rights movement that's clean, and how it produces his kind. Or, for that matter, the fruit loop who stabbed three people with a screwdriver because there was not enough Black History classes at his college. Either one will do for starters.

I can't recall who came up with this phrase, but it bears repeating:

    "The banality of evil"

Heff's post is a good one, and we all need to recognize that there are kooks out there of all different stripes.

My charge about the NAACP needs no clarification, Hairy. Yes it does; you made a charge against the NAACP and we are all still waiting for your comment on how many people were murdered by the NAACP.

Need to do some research first? We'll wait.

The actions of the KKK appear to be based on fear, and as such when those fears are addressed, the actions decrease. Had the liberals allowed blacks to assimilate into American society as had every previous ethnic group the KKK would have remained a social welfare group.

The actions of the militant Muslims appear to based on hate, and as such allow no tolerance of any differing viewpoints. No amount of education regarding the issues will change a viewpoint based on hate camouflaged as religious zeal; so things like suicide crashing of airplanes will continue.

You can draw your own conclusion as to which you'd rather have living near you.

One only needs to read the history of the KKK to understand the evil.

Also the fact that the KKK infiltrated Law enforcement. politics, and Religion. One of the better books is written by Newton..

Students of Florida history, KKK history, the history of Civil Rights, and Southern violence will gain the most from Newton's book, while scholars of religion will find a lineage of religious leaders who fostered violence and religious ideologies which helped inspire today's hate groups.

Either of two racist terrorist organizations in the U.S. The first was organized by veterans of the Confederate army, first as a social club and then as a secret means of resisting Reconstruction and restoring white domination over newly enfranchised blacks. Dressed in white robes and sheets, Klansmen whipped and killed freedmen and their white supporters in nighttime raids (see lynching). It had largely accomplished its goals by the 1870s before gradually fading away. The second KKK arose in 1915, partly out of nostalgia for the Old South and partly out of fear of the rise of communism in Russia and the changing ethnic character of U.S. society. It counted Catholics, Jews, foreigners, and labour unions among its enemies. Its membership peaked in the 1920s at more than four million, but during the Great Depression the organization gradually declined. It became active again during the civil rights movement of the 1960s, attacking blacks and white civil rights workers with bombings, whippings, and shootings. By the end of the 20th century, growing racial tolerance had reduced its numbers to a few thousand.

One primary difference is as Nunn said "the numbers" There are millions of muslims being perverted to Hate Religion.

Whereas the KKK are few in number, cowardly and hate because of ignorance and self doubt. Losers to a man.

The war with Islam has already started, most of America simply doesn't realize it yet. Our kids and grandkids will fight this one.
