These two guys would be going after the conservative vote. Who is more electable? Any analysis?

Fred. He seems to be pretty consistent on his views and doesnt appear to swing back and forth to appease all views of the party. No one candidate will EVER be able to appease all members of their party.
Besides...I would like a little bit of a fresh face sitting up there. Newt has been in politics his entire life. Fred has dabbled in politics but never expressed the desire to make it his lifes calling. In todays world, he is the closest we will ever get to an average Joe in office. It costs way too much money to run for office these days.0 -

There are no acceptable candidates, from either side, running at this time.
If it keeps going like this, I will "protest" vote for a third party.

ANYONE is electable...we elected Bill Clinton in '92, for crying out loud.
Fred is like a breath of fresh air compared to the run of the mill hacks, including McCain and Newt, that are running. At least he presents the possibility of being a conservative instead of a liberal running as a Republican (ala Rudi).0 -
How about an independent ticket with Gingrich and Lieberman? At least both appear to have America's interest at the table and not their parties interest ahead of the country's. I no longer like either the Repos or the Demwits. 0 -

If the US will come as close as it did to electing both Al Gore and John Kerry then it is possible to put anything in the White House! In my humble opinion, of course.
Nothing would surprise me except for a moderate democrate being added to the mix.
The Republicans need an solid honest conservative to come riding in on a White horse, or a black horse for that matter. I fear Rudy has a lock on the nomination and I recongnize him as a strong manager but he is one with the NYC liberal mindset and that is a big time problem for me. No more anti-gun candidates for me.0 -
With Rudy's very liberal views on abortion and gun control I don't understand how he is doing so well in conservative states such as South Carolina, but he is. 0 -

..Here's my take on things. Newt is not electable. Fred is my fave, but not sure if he's electable either. Rudy has a chance, and I like him, but we all know that he's another gun grabber.
