Who's the best candidate to fight illegal immigrat
If you are concerned about illegal immigration nobody is doing more than Presidential candidate Tom Tancredo. While he is a long shot, he can FORCE the other candidates to deal with and talk about the problem.

get_involved asked this QuestionBy 1835, Houston had moved to Texas. With the outbreak of the Texas Revolution in that year he was named commanding general of the revolutionary army. In March 1836, Houston was a delegate to the convention that declared Texas an independent republic. His command was reconfirmed, and he led the Texas army to a brilliant victory over Santa Anna in the Battle of San Jacinto (Apr. 21, 1836).
Heres a little quote From Sam Houston before the battle of San Jacinto...
"We view ourselves on the eve of battle. We are nerved for the contest, and must conquer or perish. It is vain to look for present aid: none is at hand. We must now act or abandon all hope! Rally to the standard, and be no longer the scoff of mercenary tongues! Be men, be free men, that your children may bless their father's name."
GENERAL SAM HOUSTON, GOVERNOR OF TEXAS.-[PHOTOGRAPHED BY BRADY.]
Looks a little bit like Fred Thompson0 -
The sad, disappointing truth is that NO ONE among the candidates wants to actually deal with the problem or can.
We are fast approaching a massive "amnesty" program for the 11 million to 20 million already here. All the politicians on both sides of the aisle will eventually underwrite it and affix their signatures to it IMO.
That being a very strong possibility, we can only hope that whoever IS the next President will actually plug the borders to keep the number of illegals close to where they currently are.
Just my take on a problem that no one wants to deal with.0 -
Tom would be good as VP behind Ron Paul. 0 -

The little I've heard Fred Thompson say on the issue sounds promising as well. Time will tell 0 -
The possibility exist that the illegal alien problem will be "fixed" by some sort of amnesty or guest worker program with citizenship opportunities BEFORE the Presidential election. Bush has been telling them he'll do what he can to get that done. If that's the case it won't be an issue. 0 -
If Bush was smart he would just avoid the issue and let the Democrats take the rap for passing and signing bills allowing illegials into this counry. If he signs the bills the liberals will point the finger at republicans and blame it on them when in reality its the liberals that have been pushing the hard for allowing their illegial voter base to increase. 0 -
I wish our ex Governor of Mn would run for President (Jesse Ventura). He was the best Politician I have ever seen. If you asked what he thought about anything he would do just that tell you. He didn't care what he said and who it might offend, he would just give you the truth as to what he thought. 0 -
Sam Colt, two gentlemen named smith and wesson, mr,browning just to name a few, that ought to solve a problem illegal or ten [}:)][:(!] 0 -
No politician in his right mind is going to touch that subject.
... and none of them are in their right minds. Go figure.[:o)]0 -

Fixed? LOL! It will just make the problem worse just like the 1986 and 5 other amnesties did. It will encourage even more illegal immigration!0 -
