How Much Sand Should I Order?
Water restrictions are lifted, so we can put the pool up.
Pool is a 25 foot circle, and needs about a 4 inch pad of sand under it. To allow for errors, figure a 30 foot circle and a 6 inch pad of sand.

the truck is probably a 10 yard so settle for 5" thick, to get it all in one load. 0 -

If they have it, ask for 'washed' sand, that should
remove most of the salt, which is a good thing
for the base of an 'above ground' pool.0 -

they make some kind of foam liner you can use instead of the sand. i dont know anything about it though, just know it exists. 0 -

By "That stuff" I assume you mean the wearing of shoes on the beach...otherwise we will have to wonder how you came by this information...[:D]0 -
Be prepared for a whole lot of maintenance, my wife and I bought one of the 5 ft pools that they come set up for you back in 2005. I was constantly cleaning the pool even with the filtration system. Checking PH, Chlorine, water hardness among other test. Then you had to shock it weekly, meaning put a special high dose of chlorine in the pool. Then there was the leaves from the trees that I never noticed that fell off daily into the pool. I bought a pool cover and took care of that except when it rained it took 6 men and a half to pull the rain covered pool cover off. You would be surprised how much water lands in a 20ft across area. We maintained it two yrs including draining half the water and let it set during winter. I would rather go to the public pool and look at the scenery plus LEO's get in free. One more thing, you will have friends you never knew you had.[8D] 0 -

Blacks Beach North of the pier is World (in)famous. I know about the rest because for years I would dive for abalone. The more remote the beach the better the abalone diving. The more remote the beach the more nude ect. people would be found. After being under the water a hour or so I would surface and who knows what would be there on the shore. It actually was a pain. When someone started sunbathing barefoot all over a crowd would soon start showing up at that spot. They would see the abalone and/or lobster I caught then either tell their diving friends or start diving on what I formerly considered my private spot. It would be comparable to a nudist colony starting up next to your tree stand during deer season.
PS. Some years ago used hypodermic needles, found on the beach, were a problem. Shoes were not a bad idea.0 -

Boy aint that the truth. However baquacil is a lot easier to use. Its much more expensive than chlorine, but its worth it for the time you spend working on it.0 -
