CNN is about to air a story about the debate on allowing weapons on VA Tech's campus for personal protection. This oughta be good.

I missed the first part due to an overly excited 8 year old showing me some new cheerleading moves. They interviewed a college student that is pushing to allow concealed carry on campus. He was very articulate and made his point well without coming across as the "typical" gun nut that the media just loves to show. They then had the opposing view by another college student who kept talking about how he doesn't want "the old west" happening on campus and that a college should be a place of learning and apparently you can't learn when people are packing heat. They had a split screen and on the right screen they showed what looked like a gunshow table. They showed weapons on different tables and at least twice showed what looked like MAC10's and other "scary" looking black mass killing assault weapons capable of spraying bullets at kids. I think the pro-gun kid won the argument. 0 -

I greatly appreciate you taking the time to provide a description of what took place. Otherwise I probably wouldn't have known.0 -
are people ever swayed one way or the other on the gun rights arguments ? it seems to me that people have already made up their mind and nothing will change it. my grandfather was a life long hunter and shooter who never once committed a crime with his gun or had any accidents. however, my grandmother always hated guns because when she was 12 her neighboor committed suicide with one. she never changed her opinion of guns and how they shouldnt be legal.
does anyone know someone either pro or anti gun that changed their view or stance ?0 -
Not from watching the news but take an anti-gunner out to the range. A lot of them are just uneducated about firearms and the only thing they think they know is learned from television. 0
