Damn democrats! I have just emailed my Representative. Our representative Fred Upton gets a B+ rating from the NRA and is generally very Pro firearms. 0 -
It's the democrats fault. Who will the Bush haters blame now ? 0 -

Bush is still at bat - what he does there is his responsibility and his alone.0 -
Oddly enough, it was a republikan that introduced the damn bill, and of the two sponsers, one of them is you guesed it, a republikan. We as gun owners need to let our voice be heard, I don't mean go join the NRA, I mean contact your congressman, and senator, and tell them to vote no. This is what the anti gun left does, use there own tactics against them, or go ahead and turn your guns in. 0 -

I was wondering if ANYONE would notice that.
Nothing odd, just showing their TRUE colors. [V]
Fatboy, you deserve a gold star. [:D]0 -
Why thank you, I had four of them at one time you know.[8D]quote:Originally posted by pickenup

Correction: BOTH of the co-sponsors are Republicans.0 -
Fatboy,
Good work!0 -
I wonder what the G.O.P. spin doctors will do with this.Stay tuned folks were about to here a good one. 0 -
There are some big time GOP apologist here, as are there dem apologist here as well. They both make me sick. 0 -
Does anyone else find it funny that an anti-gun bill sponsored by two Republicans hasn't been more hotly debated than this?
THIS is the reason why our gun rights are going to hell in a handbasket. It's not because of those scary, scary Democrats - it's because we, as gunowners, sheepishly pull our drawers down, bend over, and bleat when the GOP pulls crap like this![:(!]
"Vote Republican! Preserve your 2nd Amendment rights!"
Yeah, right! With this in mind, isn't that like saying, "Shoot yourself in the head and take a load off your mind!"0 -
You can have a fun time pointing out the one or two republicans that may swing anti-gun but anyone with a 1/2 brain can see that the majorty of the effort at gun control is coming from the liberal side of the aisle.
I assume you are simply shrills placed on this forum to try to convince others that the other side is at fault. A typical Democtatic spin routine. If you don't support the NRA and the folks who are protecting your gun rights then what is your purpose playing on a gun forum. Just to spin the truth[?][?][?]
I doubt if you will sway many hunters, target shooters, gun collectors and other gun supporters. Once a few more doors get slamed in their faces by the 2008 Congress and President and they see that gun ownership is short lived and I do believe there will be a backlash in the political arenas.0 -

I hate to break it to you friend, but there are A LOT MORE than "one or two" anti-gun Republicans in Congress right now. Would you like for me to provide you with a few NRA and GOA ratings for some of the many anti-gun Republicans in Congress?
And BTW, this bill was sponsored by one Republican and co-sponsored by two others, so that makes THREE directly responsible for this one anti-gun bill. The first attack on your gun rights from the 110th Congress comes not from the Democrats, but from the GOP. Hopefully this bill will die in committee like most bills.0
