How Do you celebrate New Years Eve??

    Usualy we go to some close friends of ours' house.

    Usually I don my tux and Shari and I go out for cocktails, dinner, and dancing.

    Sometimes we go to the causeway and watch the fireworks of five cities explode over Mobile Bay.

    Once in awhile we take in a show, then a dinner party, then a early breakfast.

    Tonight we are going to the Indian casinos to play some games, then come home for a nightcap.

    I can't recall the last time I stayed up until midnight. Bet it was 20 years or more ago. Even the millenium.

    New Years Eve is pretty quiet on our road. Gunfire for no purpose is generally frowned upon.

    2 nice steaks on the barby ,couple pounds of scrimp ,big baked potatostuffed with real butter ,melted chedder cheese ,then sprinkled with some cajun spice ,vegtable of the day ,glass of homemade wine ......

    in previous years we go down to our camp ,unfortunenatly wife took a new position at work and has to be there in the morning (10 am).so we are city bound this year .oh well the ball will look the same !!

    Mumma and I just woke up from our nap.
    Daughter and her family were supposed to
    come up twixt 1pm and 4 pm for chink food
    and I guess the weather scared them
    off so Mumma and I celebrated the coming
    of the new year for 20 minutes
    and then she to the couch and me and Emma the dog
    to the back bedroom with the sway back mattress.
    That's it, I'm waiting
    for 7:30 so I can go back to bed.
    Life is good!

    May go Coyote Hunting tomorrow. Supposed to get 5-6" of snow tonight, but 40mph winds tomorrow. We'll see what happens.

    I hope you guys know I was just kidding about shooting my AK into the sky.

    I am actually going to some friends for some Heavy Duty Spades games[8D]
    Then when I get home I may or may not touch off my muzzle loader that has been loaded for 6 years now.
    It is sort of an experiment I have going[:D]

    Apparently, we celebrate by eating Subway sandwiches, drinking cider, and trying to console the puppies what with lots of firecrackers going off outside. At least, that's what's happening--hardly call it "celebrating." [8)]
