    Those are some dinosaurs. D or E models judging from the camo paint, high tail, large external tank, and the early J57 engines.

    No camo, those are just shadows. That opens it up to B thru E (A's weren't functional bombers, factory test beds).

    I sure do appreciate pics of BUFFS, thank you peabo.

    Yes, they are old pictures. This one was taken over -You know where- from Guam in the '60's. These are actual photos taken from the cockpit. Yes, dinosaurs, but than compared to you, I'm a dinosaur too. Sure miss my Air Force days.

    Pictures are not very good because the slides are 40 years old !!
    I just got them out and scanned them to put them on CD.

    Funny I'm calling them "dinosaurs" considering our newest plane here at Minot was delivered to the AF in 1963 (tail # 61-0040). Some really nice shots of the 105 and F-4's. You take them yourself?

    Ooo, I can see the tassel for a thermal curtain, it looks like the eyebrow window. The H's still have those pains in the ass, we get them working and then the pilots play with them and break them. They serve no purpose anymore since we use stand-off nuclear weapons now.

    No, I didn't take the pictures. I got the slides from an estate sale. He was killed when his house caught fire 5 or 6 years ago. The veteran's family didn't want the slides or his flight jacket. I feel that they are a part of history. I took the pictures of the patches that were on his flight jacket, including this one.
