    Yes, the USAF use to be the US Army Air Force, before that it was the US Army Air Corps, and before that the Army Signal Corps. Guess what, we are a separate branch now. We are proud of our Army heritage, but we look to the future, not to the past. Yes we are the youngest service and we still have teething problems and growing pains, but we are as good as any of the other 4 (Army, Navy, Marines, and Coast Guard). Why try to rub something in our faces something that we are proud of, we haven't forgotten what the Army Air Force, Air Corps, and Signal Corps did before us. Do you think that low of your current service as it is now that you have to dwell on what it use to be? It's the 21st century, we ARE the United States Air Force, the greatest air force in the world. We are here to stay, get use to it.

    The US Army is the greatest ground fighting force in the world, but we also rule the low-level skies over the battlefield, not to mention the covert operations behind enemy lines, thanks to the Army Aviation Corps and the S.F./Green Berets and Delta Force.

    No other branch of the US military has a covert force like the Army's Delta Force. Soldiers serving in Delta do not exist. Period.

    The Air Force's PJ's and FAC's are forces to be reckoned with. Don't forget about Crew Chiefs either. Our dirty, crap job is just a cover. If SHTF hard enough, we're the go to force to get the dirty deed done.
