This current rat poison in the pet food situation is just a probe to see how far reaching an action of this nature would be, so they (terrorists) could roughly calculate the amount of poisoning casualties they could inflict by contaminating something such as tuna, chicken soup, pepsi or coke, etc the list goes on.
Damn, after rereading this maybe I had to too much coffee this morningto allow me to come up with this, but what they hey I've seen subjects just as outlandish if not worse on here..
Flame away0 -
My first thoughts were similar. A test of sorts. 0 -
Humans have been poisoned (accedental and intentional) for centuries so there is plenty of hard medical data on the leathal doses of hundreds of chemicals. There is no need to experiment with pet foods. 0 -
Kristov, I think what mule's asking is what if the terrorists are testing to see how far their poison will reach in the US before it's discovered and countered. 0 -
...drinking too much coffee is not good for you...[:0][:D]

The idea is not what kind of poison to use as you said many have been used throughout history, but to see what kind of area this would encompass and how long it would take to achieve = better to overwhelm many hospitals and healthcare faciltiies over a short time with mysterious symptoms than to just send a few dozen to local facilites 0 -

Yeah Colt, I've already began to dilute with large dollops of "Baileys" going to be a great day in the neighborhood [:o)]0 -

Exactly, you to Zulu but I screwed up on the reply, maybe the Baileys is working already0 -
...There you go! DILUTION is the key!([8D])...a little Brandy in mine this morning...[;)]

Kristov, thanks for the shortcut, going to give that a good read tonight . 0 -
I would not loose to much sleep over the idea of this pet food business being a test of some sort. Terrorists don't tip their hands, we are the only people dumb enough to even consider doing things like launching an ICBM blank. If any hostile group was going was going to attempt a large scale attack on our food supply they would simnply do it and not wait around for the test data to come back for study. 0 -
i heard on tv that the rat poison used is not made in the USA. i wondered too if it was a dry run by terrorists or something. however, i dont know any people who eat cat food 0 -
Guys, not EVERYTHING is an Al Qaeda conspiracy. I guess that contaminated spinach a while back was a "secret Al Qaeda plot" as well? Has the government gotten you so worked up with irrational fear and paranoia that you check under your beds at night to make sure there aren't "terrorists" hiding under there waiting to get you? 0 -

Nope, just a simple what if question to see what people had to say on the matter, you know tinfoil hats and celestial seasoning tea makes the world go round.
and I never mentioned Al Queda specifically as our countries next problems could be caused by a multitude of rag head or slant eyed individuals or just illegal immigrants in general.
Remember the poster that said
"Just because you are Paranoid
Doesn't mean they're not out to get you"0 -

I always check under the bed for space monsters, zombies, and the bogey man....0 -
Pretty farfetched conspiricy theory. Where were you guys when E Coli was on the lettuce?
Who would stand to make the money by poisoning our cats and dogs?
It's the Veternarians![;)]0 -
I don't eat much at Duncan Donuts anymore...my wife calls me paranoid. But they're all owned by mid-eastern people and it would be too easy for them to mess with us. I'm not usually like this but for some reason I am with them. 0 -
It's Bush's fault. I have video tape of secret agents tainting pet food. I sent it to Michael Moore. The movie will be out in May. Brad Pitt will play me.
Take two!0 -

Maybe the way a lot of people worldwide percieve our police and donuts that might not be a bad idea. They take the police out and have less resistance when they try to take over..[;)][8D]0 -
The professor says,
Don't eat the donuts!
