Need to make an index.

I know someone out there can help me with this one. I am looking for a way to make "electronic" index cards for my guns. Right now I have a very simple list with SSN and type on them but would like to be able to add more info. I am looking for something that will allow me to use more then one line for history like the cheep database program that came on the computer. I am running a Mac so that really cool gun software that someone built will not run on mine. I do have Microsoft Office package on mine but cant seem to find a layout that will do what I want.

Anyone have any good ideas.

    Take pics and identify any marks scratches etc.I also put notes as to where, when and how much I paid and its overall condition.Also just becuz I paid 100.00 for a 500.00 gun doesnt mean I want the Insurance co to know this.

    I think it was Cubslover that uses a website that stored this info..

    I use Ms Access which comes with MS office or at least some versions
    or try "open office"...it should be free!

    Yes, go with access but you need to learn how to use it effectively. I took a class on MS office and still don't know how to use access but my wife does. One of these days I'll learn. Maybe I need to quit spending so much time in a drunken stupor on this forum.
