For The Glock Educated
Im thinking of changing my plans around and instead of getting the Ruger P345 and keeping my S&W 642 for carry, instead getting a Glock 17 for the house and a Glock 26 for carry.Question is this. Are the mags interchangeable between say the 17/19/26?Basically could I shove a mag from a 17 into a 26 if I had to and it would fit and function fine.Any other info on Glocks you can give is appreciated as well.Durability of finish,Strength, ability to handle high pressure rounds,if mags are interchangeable between guns of the same caliber for all Glocks in that caliber and so on.Thanks Good People.

Yes you can use the full sized mags in the compact guns. Their surface finish is about the best on the market, and you won't wear it out. The only down side is 1911 owners will make fun of you. 0 -
Hey if a Glock will run like it did in that video I found they can poke fun all they want to.I can take it.[8D]I have always liked .45acp's but I really dont like "cocked and locked" I cant make myself comfortable with the idea of that hammer being back and having to click it off if I need to you I would rather spend that little bit of extra time getting my gun on target and sighted. My opinion anyway. You cant say they are bad guns I just dont think they are for me. 0 -

As someone else said, Glocks dont have any appeal until you start shooting them.
They don't need cleaning or maintenance unless you have nothing else to do.
Like a D.A. revolver, they don't need any fussing to get them into action.
Sights are big and bold and get on target easily.
They're more reliable than many autos. That's why they sold so many.
If being ugly is more important than the above then don't buy one.0 -

I think the 357 sig and 40 mags are the same. So they will interchange.0 -

You are correct. I just decided for the sake of simplicity not to go there...0 -

I own both, that's how I knew. I think the 357 is a neat little gun. I hurts my hands though.0 -
you gotta watch putting full size mags into compact guns, you do not want to do it with the slide open, i have seen glocks and 1911 ejectors get broke by slamming them home , and the magazine catch failed to stop it 0 -
Jeez, look at the light rail bouncing around while the slo-mo Glock is slamfiring in full auto!! 0
