In the first link, looks like the guy that fell could have been shot by accident. Looked like he was in the line of fire.

Sure did - and he sure was!

I've never hunted the full sized Eastern boars but I have hunted
probably hundreds of the Western Javalina in the last 45 years,
or so. We used to hunt them from horses down in the canebrakes
along the Colorado. Just about every time you'd take a (close up)
shot at one he'd head right for the closest horse's legs. We'd
always have a backup 12GA pump or auto waiting for that
eventuality. When I was about 20, the backup man's horse reared
and wheeled (a very bad thing) as soon as he saw the wounded
Javalina headed for my brother's horse's front legs and the guy
inadvertently squeezed one off. The buckshot caught the edge of
Tom's hat rim and blew it from his head.

... it was a very quiet ride back to camp that evening for all.[|)]

Someone was lucky to walk away from that deal, they had better bend over and kiss their butt someone was over looking them.[:D][:D]

did y'all here about the 1000pd hog some 11yr old or 13yrold shot in i think GA but i think its actually Alabama.
