    Filled the wife's car up today---$41.00. $2.89 a gallon----got $.10 off per gallon----so it ended up at $2.79 per gallon.

    These prices are killing me. I can't afford to drive my new truck and pay the payment for it at the same time. Cost me $122 to fill it up today. [V][V]

    They sure are taking advantage of us. They have us and they know it. No reason at all for these prices.

    [:(][:(]this oil crap is BS [:0]the gulf didn't get shut down this year so now it might get cold up north [:0](has it not always got cold up there this time of year )just like the gulf . rigs have shut down every year for storms and just now it makes the price go up,(BS)worked out there for 15 years, this all started when Exxon went aground in Alaska in the 70s. said there was a shortage and we bought it and prices went up, news flash if 1 super tanker gave us a shortage we dont have any oil[:(][:(]

    If we do end up with a Dem President the surtaxs on oil will drive the price into the range of what is charged in Europe.

    Nope - $5.00 gas. Europeans have been paying $5.00 a Gal. for
    years and the oil companies feel it's time for us to pay the same.

    I was told that a couple of years ago it's just taking a little longer
    than I thought it would.

    ... it's as simple as that.

    It doesn't have anything to do with the dems scaring oil companys. It's the simple fact that they can make us pay that much. Simple fact is that it is still cheap here. Europe was paying 5 buck a gallon 20 years ago. Everyone seems to just bitch but they go out and by a brand new SUV because they got a good deal on it and get 10 mile/gallon and they drive like a bat out of hell. Huuummmmmm, that makes sense.

    I'm dusting off my wife's old '97 Camry that is our back-up car. Gonna park the Silverado for a while. Just hope I can get used to sitting that low to the ground.
