I have a friend that worked with an investigator and all he would/could tell me was never to use them.

I don't trust them. I personally don't know of any fire that I've responded to that they where the cause but we could have missed it. The way the burn up it would be possible. Especially if there was another cause that was close.

I would find another way to make your place smell good.

A can of Bush's Best and a dog do it for me.

I spill a little gin on the kitchen floor every time I mix a drink. That makes my house smell good.

Three cheers for everyone who believes every piece of crap they read on the web and direct their lives by it.[:D]

As said earlier, I heard of these starting fires several years ago.

Don't know if it's true of not, but seems they'd be knee deep in
lawsuits, and since, redesigned/solved the problem by now.

Sounds doubtful. The first thing to look for with these types of chain e-mail warnings are the names of the people involved, the city where they live, the date of their disaster and of course the name of the insurance investigator as well as the company he works for. I see none of this is provided with the warning.

My initial gut reaction was that this is BS, so I searched snopes and found this.

This came as a chain email so I thought it may be bogus.

I was told once that chain emails are email address harvesters for spammers???
