Is this Toyota dealer nuts?
Ran across this on eBay. Your bid is the deposit and, as stated, the winning bidder will pay MSRP for the truck.

Important: The winning bidder will pay MSRP for the truck. We at Toyota West would never charge more than MSRP!
It would hurt my feelings to know that I did'nt pay more than MSRP[}:)][:(!]0 -
I think to begin with that it will be hard for people to get these much below MSRP. 0 -
not likely as MSRP is usually about 5 grand more than you can buy them for if you NEGOTIATE[;)] 0 -
When dealerships receive new vehicles from the company they arrive with an allotted amount of advertising subsidation money per unit. This amount varies by specific model, but one way or another the longer a new vehicle sits on their lot the lower this amount will become.
Besides selling for below MSRP, it's possible for dealers to actually sell a vehicle for less than their invoice price and still make money.
Don't expect a dealership to admit this hidden profit. Instead they let you assume their threshold for negotiation is invoice price.0 -
I ain't no fool--I always demand to pay MSRP and not a cent more. Takes some clever negotiating on my part but I've never missed out. [:D][;)] 0 -
Don't do it! it's a rip-off!. Didn't include dinner and dancing. You should demand dinner and dancing before getting screwed... always.
...and don't forget the respect thing, that's important too.0 -

He said to call him in the morning--does that count? [;)][;)]0 -
I've always heard if you leave a auto dealership with a full tank of gas in your new vehicle, you suck at negotiating. When I left the dealership I had a full tank of gas, a bottle of champagne in the trunk, and in the rear view mirror I saw the dealership having a group hug and high fiveing each other. They then closed for the remainder of the day. 0 -

I don't know...
I've had vehicles whose value has fluctuated greatly depending on the amount of gas in the tank.0 -
I remember when I bought my Suburban. I asked for a tank of gas and they agreed. When they finally brought it out all washed and shiny, the salesman told the wash boy to go fill it up with gas. When he came back he told the salesman that it took 42 gallons to fill it. As I was walking out I saw a cd of Lenny Kravitz's greatest hits on another salesmans desk and asked for it. I was given it, too. I don't care. I love my 'Burban. 0
