Concealed Carry Class
I've put it off for way too long!!! I'm taking an all day class on Saturday. Carry gun will be a S&W Mod. 15-3 .38 spl. but I'm thinking about a XD .40 sub-compact. Cost here is $85 for the short course (1 day) which is just the basics. I'm going to try a Pager Pal holster. Any recommendation from those who already carry?

Had to go through the class again (long story, but no mine wasn't revoked) last week. There was a woman in there who literely scared the crap out of me when she was qualifying.
Here in Mo we have to qualify with a revolver, and a semi-auto pistol. She was cocking the revolver before every shot, and when she did so she was drawing it towards her body and the muzzle wound up pointing towards her chin everytime.
It is amazing to me that people would get a perit to qualify wihout first learnign how to properly handle a firearm. It is also odd that the firearms instructor allowed her to pass0 -

I like the outside belt holsters better, but for deep concealment the pager pal will work fine. Galco has a Royal Guard that is a fine IWB holster also. But more expensive.
My favorite holster is the Galco concealable belt holster. Tucks the gun in tight and holds it firm. Looks cool!

I like cross-draw Inside The Waistba and Shoulder holsters, because I can get to the weapon when I'm in the car.

Dang I just went to my class last Sunday and paid $130 for the class and another $140 to the state. 0 -
Here I paid $75 for the class.
The $50 fee to the state was waverable for me as a Disabled Veteran.0 -
Next year on April 9th im going to take the class, it will be my 21st b day present to myself! 0 -

That is really something you are going to have to experiment with as each person is diferent.
What works for me may not work for you.
I bought many different holsters and such and actually use most of them with how I am dressed being a desiding factor on my holster.
I think you will find that you will end up with at least 3 different holsters you will use on a regular basis.0 -

Class in my area is $150., and I think about that amount to the state
to complete it. Haven't went yet, so just carry openly now..most the
time.0 -
No class required.
No test required.
Just fill in a form similar to 4473, pay $ 35.00 and the state SHALL ISSUE a permit if nothing is found on your record.
Not perfect, but as close as we can get in the current environment.0
