Are there any others that will handle your transactions, close by ??

Sound to me like the guy was mad at you for something he failed to handle.

The other store I had been using is 30 miles away and charges twice as much.

Why would his home addy be on the FFL and not the stores addy?...Does he not receive any mail at the store?.....And why would you say invasion of privacy?..

BlackRoses: It is not unusual to see different addresses on a FFL for mailing and business locations. I receive all my household mail and business mail at the store as we live in a very rural area and it makes one less mailbox to maintain and one less stop for the rural carrier.

The pawnshop owner sounds like a major dick-head. You called him at his house, big deal, thats how many FFLs operate. He either needs a serious attitude adjustment or he needs to quit doing transfers altogether.

If you ship a firearm to an address OTHER than what's on the license, how do YOU know it's actually going to the licensee? That's a very bad practice, even if it is legal...which I seriously doubt. Maybe you interrupted his annual 'make nice with wifey' session and now he has to wait another year. I'd be pi$$ed too.[:D]

The "invasion of privacy" [according to his point of view] was calling his home.

There are two addresses listed on FFL licenses - one for the premises and the other a mailing address.

IF his phone number is available online in the white pages, then it was/is in the phone book, so its hardly an invasion of privacy...If that is the way he conducts his business, then I say its time to find someone else...

Ditto!! DICK-HEAD! If you ever move close by to me I'll do all your transfers for cheap. And, I'll give you all my phone numbers so you can call me anytime about something important like that. He needs to gripe at the phone company about the phone number not you.
