I never would've believed a kid could do this

to me but she has. This is my granddaughter Madison. Maddie,for short.

I'm 44 years old and don't have any kids of my own but have 2 stepsons which I love and take care of as best I know how,but they're not physically mine and I've never felt that connection with a child as if they were my own,until now.

This little thing takes my heart out and plays with it at will. I don't think she realizes what she's doing yet,or maybe she does-I don't know. She's a little over 1 year old.

I can't help but love her. She won't stay out of my gun room, won't stop stealing my hats,loves to catch frogs,bugs,lizards,etc and loves to sit in my lap and look at GB. Now honestly,who could resist?

    Will do. Maybe they could shop while we peruse a show or something.

    Oh, and she loves guns. I already bought her first one. Remember this? This is her 1 year ago.

    Adorable little girl. I know what you are going through cause my 4 yr old step grandaughter plays me like a fiddle, and so does my 3 yr old grandson.

    I felt the same way when my boys were her age.

    Now that they are teens, I still love 'em to death but nearly need to kill 'em to let them know that.

    I liked it better when they looked up at me and absolutely KNEW that I KNEW everything. I knew better.

    Now they think THEY know everything. And I still know better.

    Yep, when she is around 12 you will start eyeing the little boys who are eyeing her. A year or so later you will come to realize that boys today think about the same thing that you thought about as a teenager. Short step from that to watching your hand as if it belongs to a stranger as it jerks a young lad up off his feet to meet your steely eyes while you explain to him how precious your little girl is to you.
