just got a free shotgun!
My father in law knows I am looking for a shotgun and gave me his fathers old Stevens model 311a double barrel 20 gauge that his father used for squirrel hunting (he used to eat the squirrels - eww).
It appears to be in excellent condition!

Y'all missin da'boat on the limb-rats!! Pressure-cooker. Brown-em-up in some bacon grease, thro in the bacon and an onion with some green-beans, and simmer for about 40 min.

Hunted small game this afternoon and shot a squirrel. Gonna cook him up tomorrow for supper, along with the nice rooster pheasant I got today too. I have a 311 20ga. Sure are nice guns. Does yours come with a crack at the heel of the pistol grip where it meets the receiver? 0 -

Any manufactured before 1968 did not have serial numbers after that they were required by GCA 68 to have serial number. Nice shotgun. [}:)] 0 -
O.K. , nice utility shotgun (not fancy but works), I have a couple of these myself...and ... squirel(?) is one of my favorite 'game' dishes.
really like fried after rolled in flour/salt/red&black pepper in bacon grease , gravy , fried tators , ect.ect. dang that sounds good , may have to go shoot me a 'tree-rat'..............
