Proud owner of a new Glock 21
Well, I finally took the plunge today at my wife's suggesting that I went ahead and buy a Glock 21. I have been looking at them for quite some time and test shot one yesterday. I fell in love with the feel and recoil (amazingly light). I now have two questions. First, I am looking for a good left hand friendly holster, and second, what types of ammo works best in the 21? I have purchased a box of 200 grain Hornady jacketed hollowpoints and a box of Remington 230 grain ball ammo to start my practicing sessions. I cleaned it up and should be taking it out to play in the next few days. Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated.
P.S. It will only be carried CCW when I have become more proficient and comfortable shooting it, until then I still have my 19.

For a friendly left hand holster, I like to use a FOBUS paddle holster for my glock. It fits nicely and you don't even notice that you have it on. I know they make it for the GLOCK 21 and Left Handed.
As far as ammo I use Federal Hydrashocks. I just like the way they shoot and I have never had a malfunction with one of them!!!

My G21 is 11 years old and will feed anything. It is partial to Win.
STHP and Federal 185 Gr. JHP. I have also put a couple boxes of
Remington 230 Gr. JHP. though it but I prefer the 185 gr. ammo.
For range ammo I have used UMC 230 Gr. Ball ammo, Win. White box,
PMC, S&B. Whatever is on sale. Never had a problem with it feeding any of it.
I am also a lefty and settled on a Forbus Paddle holster.
Extra Hi-Cap mags are plentiful out there. I recently bought
a few extras for 19.00 at a local sporting good store.0 -

Congrats on a great gun, as for carry ammo try Remingtons 185GR+P. Its one of the better .45acp loads, but make sure it functions well in your gun. Safe Shooting!!

Well, I took the 21 out yesterday and put some rounds downrange. I have a feeling this gun will shoot far better than I can. I am still going through the learning curve, but since I already have a Glock 19, it makes it easier. 2" groups at about 10 yards is the best I can do so far (single fire, no double taps yet). But then again I have the rest of my life to perfect my shooting [:D]. 0 -
Once you understand how the trigger reset works you can really shrink those groups 0
