Could be a good source of income: go to any Home Depot or Lowe's, sit in the lot, and record the names and phone numbers and License Numbers of the Contractors that hire the Illegals from the "work Centers".

They're getting serious. Many famous thieves and hitmen have gone to jail in years past, not for their crimes, but for tax evasion!!!

Let's get this ball rolling!!

    Is that reportable income?

    If it is I can't do it as I could lose some of my pay![:(]

    I mean I could report it but I could not get paid for it!

    VIRTUE, MY FRIEND, IS ITS OWN REWARD. (At least in your case!) I'm going for the rewards, as it would not reduce my retirement. I think you might need to talk with the IRS on the results of their offered rewards in you case. They might have the power and interest to make it a gainful employ. If not, you could give your reports to another person, say, your kids?? Just thinking...

    All you need to do is report every politician who supports "amnesty". I bet there's not one green card among their maids, gardeners, handymen and nannies. [:(!]

    Now that is quite interesting. Thanks for posting. I'm not sure I believe about the reward but it would be nice to cause some heat for some of the employers of the illegal aliens since that is the main thing that keeps them here. Plus, both the illegals and the employers use government services and they all should pay their share. And by the employer not withholding the money (he/she pockets what should be tax money) and the illegals don't file an income tax return that means neither of them pay their taxes. So in that regard, it would feel good to at least cause some indigestion for the employer of the illegals by sicing the IRS on them.

    This might be a good part-time job for me if I can ever quit working.

    Dang! Pick a restaurant, any restaurant. There are illegals there, washing dishes and bussing tables. I may just retire early if this is true.

    This info about the IRS is new, however - it is a different vector to attack the problem, and it seems (at least to me) to be promising. I would have been happy just to ge some action from reporting, but the offer of rewards gets me revved up!

    Glad to have been the one to bring this to you.
