Anyone have a new PF-9 Keltec?
Just got the new American Rifleman. All the hype about this new pistol. Length 5.85, Height 4.3" width .88 and weight 12.7 oz unloaded.
My Kahr PM-9 is 5.3 in length.. shorter, Height 4.0,not as tall and width .90 and weight unloaded is 14oz.
I thought Keltec was making it about the size of the P3AT?

I don't have the PF-9, but bought a new P-11 a few months ago. I hope the PF-9 is better than the P-11. Wouldn't take much. 0 -
Overall size on these guns is essentially the same as the P-11, only thinner from the slimmer grip and single stack magazine, making them also a lot lighter.
I believe the barrels between the P-11 and PF-9 even interchange.
For a "real" 9mm (ie 9x19mm) its small, but its not as small or light as the P3AT.
There is no true 9mm that small, not even the $900 Rohrbaugh, which is basically the same size as the PF-9.0 -
I have one. Just got it last week and fired it last Saturday. It is very nice, 100% functioning right out of the box, which is not something I could say for the Kahr P9 piece of junk I had. The PF-9 is small and light, here is a good article about it comparing it in size to the P3AT.

Don't know what problems you had with yours but mine here in the link is far superior to any Keltec. I will give up 1.5 oz of weight for reliability. My Keltec .380 broke while in a jam. Comparing a Kel tec to a Kahr is like comparing a Corvair to a Corvette ( the Kahr being the Corvette )Of course you could buy 2 keltecs for what a Kahr cost.

I, and several of my friends, have had various Kahrs, steel and poly framed ones. NONE of them could get through a 200 round range session with 100% reliability. And that was well after the supposed breakin period. They have all been sold. Here is just one of many threads about problems with them:

I've seen way too many Keltec problem threads to have any enthusiasm for one, but I am curious. I do ask myself the questions, what is the major difference between the Keltec and the Rohrbaugh, why is one $300 and the other $1000 and what's missing from the Keltec that's worth $700? 0 -

I've shot well over 600 rds thru my Kahr PM9 without ANY problems. Can't say that about my Keltec 380 ( it went back to the factory broke.. just not a jam, misfeed or hangfire.. but BROKE. I have fed mine FMJ, Hollow points without even a misfire , jam, or hangfire. Couldn't say that about the Keltec. And why is your keltec actually larger than my PM9?
Did you know that Kahr had the patent right when Colt was selling the Colt Pocket 9? Kahr looks very much like it in fact. Kahr won the lawsuit and Colt discontinued the Pocket 90 -

Never heard that about the colt Pocket 9, have a link to the story about the lawsuit? But both my pocket9 and Keltec works 100%. My Kahr and many others, did not.0 -
PC800, I searched a little but not alot to find it.. case # etc was not found, however I remember reading alot about it when Colt discontinued the Pocket nine. I had 5 pocket nines at one time. I sold every one cause of the parts issue. If the guts break on these Colt has no parts to replace em'. Information straight from a Colt parts supplier. So I bought the closest thing to one.. Kahr. One thing is for sure, I wouldn't trust a keltec gun ever in a defensive mode. Maybe at the plinking range, but sure not in any carrying position. Comment about lawsuit is in thread.
