I am trying to save money, and travel europe. Any one been around europe?

Been to Paris. Extraordinarily overrated if you ask me.
There are places in Europe, however, that I'd love to see.0 -

[:D] You'll love it. Get out to Austria, Germany and out east. Hit the pubs, drink beer, eat food, & ride the trains. 0 -
I lived in Germany for 5 years. Beautiful place! Make sure you visit Nice France and Monte Carlo too. Paris sucks - if you go someone WILL try to pickpocket you. England sucked ass - cold and rainy all the time. Italy is awesome especially the Italian Riviera - you'll see it if you do Monte Carlo. 0 -
Took a driving tour through Europe in June-July 1962. Saw 13 countries in 48 days. Trip of a lifetime.
Be sure and take LOTSA pictures, you might never get another chance. Don't know when they shut it down, but I've got a roll of pictures taken from the TOP of the tower of Pisa. Irreplacable. Also, dont miss the ruins at Pompei and the Colliseum. The trip from Naples up the Riviera to Barselona was one of the prettiest drives I've ever taken. I could go on for hours.

England and Crete. Love England, and Love the Greek People and Greek Food. I would spend a month each year in Greece if I were a jet setter. Where you going? 0 -
France sucks, but I would like to see Normandy- I've only been to Paris. Go to Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, the UK. 0 -

I loved Holland/Netherlands for the very friendly people there, I loved Luxemburg too - very nice scenery and good places to visit.
Spain, Italy and Germany are also great places to visit with lots of nice attractions to see.
France.. I don't quite know.. nice scenery too, but only been to the northernmost part of france.
Bulgaria and the city Prague in the chech republic is also great. Slovakia and Poland are not that interesting, but cheap to visit.
Norway, Sweeden and Denmark are nice places too - but not all that much to see, I must say.
If you come over via Iceland.. stay a while in Reykjavik, go visit GULLFOSS, the Geysirs and my favorite... THE BLUE LAGOON.

Been to England once - yes, that sucked and they will probably try to pickpocket you too... especially in London.
A friend of mine kept his hands in his jacket-pocket and had sewn an old wallet to his old trousers.. within the first few hours in london.. he felt 5 pulls but only saw 4. One was an elderly woman, two were young guys and one was a middle aged man.
Been wanting to go to Scotland and Ireland - there are many great places to see there too.0 -

So are you going to the Rembrandt Museum, the Van Gogh Museum (largest collections of Van Gogh's in the world), or are you mainly going for de Wallen? 0 -
I want to hit the Van Gogh museum, the Rembrandt Museum, and the Heineken brewery. I dont realy want to stay in a regular hotel, the whole city is carved with canals, and theres lots of houseboats to rent, so i would like to stay in one of them. 0 -

Italy was tremendous, but we got museum-ed out.
We were in Florence for a bit, arrived on Sunday. The whole place is closed on Sunday. We saw a museum that we thought was the one we were really looking forward to going to see. We go there Monday, and there's a cop at the front with a small machine gun. I figure that these are national treasures, so why not. I go to the ticket window, and they will NOT sell me any tickets. I use my best italian, and get nowhere. Finally, some guy comes out from teh front doors, says in broken english, "not museum. Jail."
Leave it to us to try to buy our way into the Italian pokey...[:D]0 -

Actually, the other funny thing was right out of Pulp Fiction. In England, they have McDonalds. There is also a large Indian poplulation. So, there are/were two specials going on at that time: "Lamb McSpicy" and "McChiken Korma Nann". 0 -
So, what does it cost to get into an Italian jail these days?[:p] 0 -
Just got back from Tuscany, Italy. It's a beautiful place, full of vineyards and olive orchards. If you like history, many of the older walled cities are pre-Roman, Etruscan no less. Friendly people, those that didn't speak English seemed to understand my sorry Spanish. Things close on Sunday PM and every day 2-4:00 PM. Very crooked secondary roads with crazy passing drivers.
We had to go through Paris De Gaul airport, which was trouble.0
