Fantastic and awe-inspiring. Planning on getting it on DVD for the future when we have kids so they can watch it. Highly reccommended.

If it's porn than that would explain what the 3rd thumb really is.

Amazing show! We watched the first few episodes on our old tv. When it "died", we bought an HD tv and upgraded my satellite service to HD. Talk about an amazing difference! That is one show that is absoultely freaking awesome in HD!

Absolutely amazing. I hate to ask the Discovery Channel price tag.

Yeah, we've been watching it in HD. The time lapse and satellite photography is awesome! I was shocked to see how much land/ice area Antarctica actually loses over the course of a year. Then it all freezes right back (before your eyes) DOUBLING the land area the next winter.

The time lapse with the penguins huddling up was really cool. I also liked the one on caves where the falcons were diving into the clusters of bats (when they were flying out) and nabbing them out of the air for lunch. Then eating them, on the fly so they could grab another one. I've never seen that before.

It'll be hard for them to top this show in the future.

My wife and I watch record it on the DVR and then watch it when we have time. This is the best natrure show I have seen. Only one error in the information that I have found so far. Named Lake Bikal (sp?) as the largest lake in the world not Lake Superior. I guess that goes by largest volume of water, nor surface area...
The HD format of the show is incredible! We have a 50" plasma 1080p and this show actually makes use of it. Tremendous picture quality.

You know you can put a splitter on the cable and run it to the tv for basic cable and to the computer.
