The Mortgage Freeze and Other Gov't Bailouts

It might just be me, but I'm sick of all of these gov't bailouts for businesses and people that make stupid investments and/or purchases. No one takes responsibility for their actions anymore. Heck, the gov't is still paying for housing for the Katrina Refugees. It's been over TWO years since Katrina! [:(!][:(!][:(!]

    alot of investor tried to beat the system and buy and rehab and got caught. Were bailing out everyone from this to illegals and where does the money come from.Were all going broke fast and our great leaders just spend away. Lots of crooks in the mortgage business should go to jail and never see the outside light again. The ones playing games that got caught should take the loss.[:(][xx(]

    Peon, there are a lot of people who just wanted a piece of the American Dream. So they bought a house just like the rest of us. These people didn't know what they were doing and the banks and real estate people sold them homes that they really could not afford. Now these new home buyers are loosing these houses. Granted these new home buyers should not have purchased a home. Believe it or not they didn't know any better and no one told them about what was going to happen. fshfndr is right the crooks should go to jail and crooks include real estate people who are just as much to blame as the mortgage businesses. The crooks knew these new home buyers could not really afford the homes

    Even if the govt freezes interest rates on those mortgages there's still a problem. In the future do you think investors will buy those mortgages if the govt can come in and rewrite the terms? I wouldn't.
