I have used the 158 gr JHP XTP with great success out of a S&W Model 28 (4"). They were loaded hot, specially for deer hunting. When i could put 6 out of 6 rounds in a 6" circle @ 100 yards, I went hunting. I have taken several deer with that round (both bucks and does) over the last 16-17 years, and none have run more than 50 yards. All shots were broad-side through the heart/lungs at less than 100 yards. The trauma zone was massive. All were Texas deer, and none weighed more than 220#.

Check your State regs, some states require a 5 or 6" barrel, and i think some states don't allow the use of a 357. As always the key is shot placement.

They will work on zombies, but try for head shots.

I dunno, I have heard that some have very thick skulls.

I have 158g XTP's loaded up and ready to go. In my test firings I had the best accuracy out of the XTP's over several other bullets in my 6" S&W 686. I however have not tried the Core Lokts and have not had the chance to take a deer with it yet.

    talk about overkill.

OF COURSE they will work on zombies, but only because a 22 would also work on destroying an undead brain.
