Modern Day Tokyo Roses ...
The other night we watched a movie called, "Flags of our Fathers." During the movie, I pointed out the radio broadcast of "Tokyo Rose."
She had the best music on her station. During World War II; the Japanese developed a way to demoralize the American forces. Psychological warfare experts developed a message they felt would work.
They gave the script to their famous broadcaster "Tokyo Rose" and every day
she would broadcast this same message packaged in different ways. The Japanese hoped it would have a negative impact on American GI's morale.
What was that demoralizing message? It had three main points:
1. Your President is lying to you.
2. This war is illegal.
3. You cannot win the war.
Does this sound familiar today?
It is because we are being bombarded by Tokyo Hillary, Tokyo Harry, Tokyo Teddy, Tokyo Nancy, Tokyo Murtha, etc.,and they have picked up the same message and are broadcasting it on Tokyo CNN, Tokyo ABC, Tokyo CBS, Tokyo NBC, etc., to our troops.
The only difference is that they claim to support our troops before they
demoralize them. Come to think of it, Tokyo Rose told the troops she was on their side, too.

Not to worry Gripe Grouper's, there are still plenty of Americans blind to what is going on who will keep us in Iraq long after we should have left. These are the same types who maintained that just a few more years, along with some addistional troops, and we will prevail in Vietnam and the South will be running it's own affaris and minding it's own defenses. Eventually the American people opened their eyes and we left Vietnam...Leaving the names of 50,000+ brave Americans etched in stone on The Wall who did their duty. Actually we accomplished in Iraq what the military at the time dreamed of doing in Vietnam: We invaded Iraq (North Vietnam) marched into Bagdad (Hanoi) and captured Saddam (Uncle Ho) and sent him to the gallows and declared victory. Guess what? We are no further along in Iraq today than we were the day after Saddam went for his little swing, which our hand picked lackies botched by turning him into a martyr, fighting and shouting at his foes until the drop. Item #3 on Tokyo Rose the list is not actually correct since we can prevail in Iraq IF we stay there in force for the next century or two and are willing to accept the deaths and injuries which will result. This was exactly what was going to happen in Vietnam and was the reason that we left. With the instant communication around the globe we now have at our finger tips it is much more difficult to pull the wool over people's eyes today than it was during the Gulf Of Tonkin and that is probably the reason the the GB gang wants to seal the USA off from the rest of the world; just keep teh people in the dark, keep them worshipping GW and if anyone dares to question that Bush is a great leader then off with his head! 0 -

Saddam gave us more than ample reason to go in by not allowing the UN inspectors into his country to do their jobs as per the signed ceasefire from the first Gulf War!
We should had gone in long before we did for that reason alone!
Plus they did find mobile trailer labs that were capable of makeing chemical weapons (no they were not makeing them at the time but were capible none the less) which was a direct violation of the same ceasefire agreement!
So yes we did right by going in!0 -
