Did I hear that right on the news? What happened to all this 1st 100 hours of legislation getting passed?

I guess the democrats feel there is no hurry on Iraq. Too bad they spent the last 4 years in complete hysterics about it. Now that they are in power they say "there is nothing we can really do about Iraq, Bush is the commander in chief" HAHA. The funny thing is that the democrats just pulled off the greatest scam in American politics by getting people to vote for them to "end this war" and then doing NOTHING about it and going to watch a football game. Is anyone else for encouraging the government to take as many days off as possible? If they're not in session, then they're not passing bad laws and further restricting our rights, raising our taxes, and doing other stupid stuff.
My opinion? Do like many states do -- make the legislature a part-time job and have these people go home and live under the laws they pass. My guess is that you'd have a whole lot less stupid laws passed if these people actually lived under what they did.0 -

I was thinking about this the other day when I heard about an anti war protest in Washington outside where the Dems were meeting to discuss something or other. The only comment that the congressmen would give to the group was that they had to go to this meeting and they would be back later, it was kinda funny0 -

that's the whole idea. They would only be able to meet for about 5-7 weeks during the springtime. Otherwise, too cold or too hot for human habitation. Sure would cut down on a lot of asinine laws that are dreamed up because legislators have too much free time.0
