FUN CA legal guns??
Adjusting to these STUPID CA laws, i am having trouble finding fun guns to get down here. I had to sell my AK when I moved from WA and the only thing that seems decent is sporterizing an SKS with a tapco T6, red dot scope, etc... (but have to have a fixed 10 round mag! LAME!)
Any suggestion would be awesome.

I really enjoy my M1865 Spencer repeater ... .50-56. It only holds 7 rounds but
is about 50x the fun of any AK or AR I've ever shot ... including my son's M4.
... but that's just me - older IS better.

well I did move away from CA to WA for about 8 years. Realized I loved the sun and beautiful women a lot more. So I moved back down. Its a sacrifice I had to make. 0 -
Springfield M1A's are also California legal.
Some folks are also making a Cali-legal, removeable magazine AR-15. You can check it out at www.blackstararms.com
I also think Beretta is coming out with a Cali-legal .223 pretty soon. The RX-4, I think it's called. It has the option of coming with a traditional comb stock instead of a pistol grip.
The Kel-Tec SU-16 is also California legal (just the A, B, and CA versions, though - the C version is a no-no).0 -
Seecamp makes a CA. legal pistol[?] 0 -

Now you see there was your problem! You moved to Washington!
If women was your thing you should have moved to the south!
I also left California, I was born and raised there!
I now live in South Carolina and can own any gun I choose and have plenty of good looking women around!
We have period where we do not have the sunshine but I can deal with that!0 -
Zip: givette here. .56-50? Roll your own? What's your pet formulae, if I may ask. Joe 0 -
I think you can get away with a Thompson 1927 - they are available with a 10 round drum or 10 round magazine. They are about as fun as it gets! I take mine every time I go to the range! And use .45 ACP - cheap! 0 -

I don't believe so; in CA we can't have a centerfire round that shoots out of a rifle that has a pistolgrip stock and detachable magazine[V] If the Thompson had a fixed magazine then you would be good to go; but that kills some of the fun factor[V]0 -
Here, buy this... it will be fun... because it will be fun for people to make fun of you for owning it.

Them wimmin would have to be mighty darn good lookin' before I'd give up my guns. I'll just stick to my guns and fondle 'em every so often. The guns, I mean.[;)] 0 -
Personally I would've stopped driving after getting in to Oregon[:D]. But since you're here in my neck of the woods you'll realize it wasn't worth the drive down.
Scouted out a Mini-14. I think it's pretty good at Laguna Seca's range (if you can find the .223 ammo at the shops). There was a ranger out at Laguna who had the California Ar who was spending buckets of cash for the top ends. Dude was building differnt configuration of the top end which sounded cool since when he moved he could buy the standard lowers.
I've been piecing together a 10/22 from ebay until they got even stupider after the VT killin'. Just need a trigger group and bolt (it was my finger to ebay but didn't get all the parts in time[V]). I could get those parts from a dude who sold them on ebay (which would still make it a ebay gun. reciever came from Brownell's).
If you got the cash Springfield Armory SOCOM or start building a long range bolt action from a Rem. 700 reciever. It may not be the coolest but it'll keep you busy.0 -
Well , let me see , you moved back to the republic of commiefornia because of 'sun and women' ??? maybe you really DONT need a Gun ????
