great gun, everything seems to be in proper order and a basic surplus gun is now running around $250, it's a good deal.

They are excellent rifles. walnut stocks are higher priced than others. DOM usually stamped on stock. Not sure of price, but in general, metal usually really good, wood usually really poor. Stock up on ammo while you can.

Well because I just asked for advice on this item from you guys and the seller JDSIMPSON55 states "Hi Brian, I think I have been very accommodating to your requests, even though you seem to be very untrusting. I was under the impression you were ready to buy. I think this is a good place for us to part ways.
Good luck with your future endeavors. A reply to this E-mail is not
    necessary. Thanks, Joe"

I guess asking for a couple days to do research on a rifle you are unfamiliar with is too much to ask. Especially when the gun isnt even listed on auction yet.

Guess Im back in the market for one, any accomodating sellers?

    -Brian

Dang Brian, If I ever held buisness like that I would go bankrupt in a week. Don't worry there are many fine K-31's needing a good home.

Yeah, I was pretty excited about the rifle and had to refrain from telling him what I thought of him in my response email. But I kept it professional and find joy in the fact that my hard earned money will never find its way to him..........scumbag.

Now he listed it for $30 more than he was going to sell it to me for....

I guess that extra $30 is an "accomodation fee"

Heres my k31. If you decide to buy one, I HIGHLY recommend getting the K3l scope mount available from AIM Surplus... its shown on my rifle along with a bushnell legend scope.

Its a fantastic mount and it attaches in seconds... no modification to the rifle required.

Anyone know where you can get some extra magazines for it?

I believe these are chinese reproductions, but according to the reviews I saw they seem to function fine.

Yes, the walnut stocks bring a premium. I would go with the less expensive birch (or whatever) stock and buy an aftermarket laminated stock. That's what I did with one of mine. The poor stock condition is caused by the rifles being stacked in the snow. The butts are damaged.

Wonderful piece but as 11 said get some ammo now. It's not cheap and it's only going up. Just wait until after the '08 election!

Great guns. Strong, accurate, tough, all around fine rifle for most purposes. Ammo is a bit high, but you can reload or just suck it up.[:D]
