"pool" = a hole in the ground, filled with water, into which you pour money.

    You're welcome.

I have shipped a lot of ltl/common carrier shipments, and never heard of "pool", perhaps this is with a company truck?

I know from the Container shipping end of cargo business, it was called "LTL" = Less (than) Trailer Load. These loads were from Freight Consolidation Firms. Multipleshippers would send one cargo container to a common destination port or city.
