Steel core ammo !

well I found this wolf steel core ammo for 175 a case and golden tiger steel core for 180 a case. Do you think he will go any lower?? any info on this ammo will help thanks!!

    fine ammo, 160 case shipped is about best deal

    KrinkovMan, Have you tried Cole's in clearwater ? Most of the time he will give you a deal.

    Steven, you should pit it up against a steel plate of some sort and let us know how it works.

    curious to see if it would go through it like butter or if it would have any trouble

    I know, Thats what i want to do.[8D] But, it will be awhile before i can Because the closest place i can shoot right now for fun is at my old house which is about a 1 1/2 hour drive away[V]. Still waiting to get on at the local range, But i am told it will be another year yet. I have been almost 6 months without being able to pull a trigger now and my finger is getting really itchy.[V]

    Yes it was. Only certain states don't allow it.

    Armor piercing is technically illegal although still available. I'm pretty sure it just cannot be manufactured or sold new to the public. Steel core is technically not AP, AP having a harder core than mild steel.

    Well, I know that the 5.56 SS109/M855(?) I have for my AR is light armor piercing...tungsten tipped, I believe--same ammo that we're using in Iraq. I shot a steel gong that 55grn FMJ will dimple; this dug a deep crater, with some penetration.

    IIRC, the banned steelcore ammo was the 7.62x39 stuff that got the boot when someone started making AK pistols before the '94 ban...and, if memory serves, it's OK to own it--you just can't sell it.

    I emailed him directly about that, steel core or steel case, and he said CORE! Ive never gotten steel core before. i really wanna get some.

    One or more of the following is true:

    The seller is mistaken about it being steel core

    The seller is lying about it being steel core

    The seller is an idiot

    The seller is not in business/does not hold an FFL

    The BATFE lifted the ban on new imports of steel core ammo and forgot to tell anyone except this seller's supplier



    I did a http://www.dogpile.com for "wolf steel ammo" and another for "golden tiger ammo" and I couldn't find anyone claiming that it is steel core.

    O.K., O.K. I screwed up. It's Steel Cased. I advertised it incorrectly. Sorry everyone. Made the correction and notified Krinkovman.

    I promise I'll never do it again!!!!
