Do you have any guns you'd like to sell; but, just can't bring yourself to get rid of them?
I have 3:
Colt Diamondback: Good looking, great shape, comfortable to hold, never fired it---just don't need it.
Colt Frontier Scout '62: LR & Mag cyl., with original box, bought new in the 60's, haven't fired it in several years---love to sell it but hard to part with.
Hi-Standard Double-Nine "Posse": Bought new in the 60's, excellent condition, haven't fired it in years---again, love to sell it but hard to part with.
How about yourself?

1971 Colt Python (blued with a 6 inch barrel) in its original box with all contents except for the warranty card. It is still in near new condition and has been my home protection gun for many years. With its condition it has appreciated too much to shoot anymore. 0 -

S&W Model 36.
Pitted barrel + cylinder. Belonged to wife's father, who passed when she was 6. Kinda detracts from my collection, but I'll never sell it.
Can't say the same for my mother-in-law. She was going to turn it in at a gun buy-back for a $75 dollar gift card. Needless to say, I rescued it.
When I brought it home and my wife held it, tears started to flow.0 -

Much like you I have a Colt Diamondback and un-like you I have a Colt Ace. Then there is the Armalite AR-180 original Costa Mesa. Lets not go there. [8D] 0 -
I'd be willing to hold them for you until the urge to sell passes. That way, you'd still own the guns and I would get to shoot a Diamondback that I could never afford anyway. Everybody wins!

I have a high grade trap gun that was given to me by a family member. I'm not a trap shooter but I'll probably never sell the gun. 0 -
not many but one i just cant like .i won it on a raffle (my favorite kind)but really have no use for it .its a 3.5 inch mossberg turkey gun .never even shot it . i have many other shotguns i reach for first .listed it locally ,and offered it in trades but no luck moving it ........

A Sako Vixen in 222 Remington Magnum. I could dump it quite easily but it comes with 66 boxes of Factory ammo that I have a problem shipping from way the hell out here in bush Alaska. 0 -

Same here. What I have never understood is how so many people just got to have the newest thing out, only to get tired of it within a couple weeks, and are ready for the next new gun/caliber. Instead of buying the new gun they want, they sell/trade it for much less than they paid for it.0 -

I have a couple of those too, but I consider them heirlooms before firearms ... they're different.
On the one hand, is there a reason to sell them? Is there something you'd use those funds for that you want and would enjoy more?
In the end ... no one lives forever, your guns will be sold, given away or at worst confiscated.
IF there is a reason to sell them, do it and don't look back.
Speaking for myself, the fun is in the pursuit and the acquisition ... after some time, the thrill of the possession wears off.
The most common reason I sell a gun is to "enhance my collection" with something else, but there have been other reasons too. I do it so I don't have to dip into our liquid funds. I've started a collage fund for Abby, bought new carpet for the house and bought 2 totally impractical cars with the proceeds (but I really enjoy them [8D]).
With some pieces, the thrill wears off faster than others. Ask yourself, "what's it cost to keep them?"0 -
