time for a 9mm

i decided i need one. i am looking at glock, XD and beretta px4 and possibly a smith and wesson.

    I have Glock, Beretta, Sig and Springfield XD 9's. They are all very nice guns.

    I suggest going to a gun rental range and trying them out. Pick the one you shoot well, feel comfortable with and can operate easily and quickly.

    I am with Laredo Lefty. Holding them and hopefully having the option of shooting some is the way to go. You might look at a Sig P228 I really like mine and they are smaller than the full size P226. I own a Glock 19 and used to have an XD. To me the 228 is more comfortable to hold and shoot.

    Check out the baby eagle before you commit. Anyone that has one will attest they are one of the best 9mm out there!

    A 9mm is on my list of "real soon maybe next"

    Looking at a CZ75 or Witness (witness can convert to 9,10,40,45,22lr), maybe a Sig 226, or maybe a Hi Power.

    I too really like the Baby Eagle 9mm.

    I used to have a KelTec 9mm that was pretty small but didn't care for it so I got rid of it.

    Joe has it right, the gun that fits you the best is the best fit for you. I prefer the CZ-75 but don't forget to look at the HK's.

    I have small hands and shoot an XD9 service model and also have a Kahr PM9. Both fit my hand well and are easy to handle.[:)]

    Look around and see if you can find a Star FireStar 9. They come in single and double stack, and blue or silvery.

    They are no longer in production, but can be found in good shape for $200 to $300.
