Memorial day Utah trip- Pictures
These pictures sum up my memorial day weekend.
Me:

(its my brothers AR-15, that 10/22 in the background is mine)
My bro:

My bro's friend's wife:

She liked my .22 better, the .223 was "too loud":

*somehow we didn't get any pics of my brothers girlfriend shooting any of the guns.
We also checked out Zion National Park:

And in case you were wondering just what the heck those things were on
top of the trucks.
This was me after I was done shooting:

And after My bro was done shooting:

Only thing we forgot to do was get some high cap mags and some of Utah's finest beers, Polygamy Porter (for around the campfire of course, not while hiking, shooting, or flying).

Nice pic's! but gotta ask- (my morbid side of me) ever try the AR up in the sky glider?[:D][:p] 0 -
Cood pics. I was wondering what was on top of your truck.
Looks like a lot of fun.0 -
Thanks for sharing. Looks like you all had a good time. 0 -

they should rename that "up against the wall redneck mother-bleener"0 -
Always liked Utah - God's Country![8D] 0 -
My mom, my sister and I went to Zion Nat'l Park early in the spring. Absolutely fantastic hiking there... I hope you got to experience the "Angel's Landing" trail, it's quite an experience. 0 -
Mosin:
Yes we did do the Angels landing hike (thats the one with the cables and the steep drop offs right?).
Coming down scared me more than going up, I wished I had my glider at the top, I'd much rather run and fly off a cliff than climb down it.
FancF:
Nope, never flown with a gun, but if I did, I think the 2 12 ga shotguns we also had with us(no pics- Mossy 500) would be better than an AR given the difficulty in aiming.- Not sure What I would shoot at anyway.
Zip: yep, Utah is nice, but then again I like almost every state west of the Colorado Rockies. I've at least driven through every state west of the Missisipi (except North Dakota). I didn't care for the plains states, just to humid and flat, featureless, boring.
Nevada.... well, too many sleazy Casino's- I'd choose Mormons over Mobsters. Thens theres the little part about 1/8 of the entire state being a military bombing range.
South Dakota.... a little too empty, I like to be relatively Isolated, but that state is pretty empty.
Arizona... Hot but interesting geography... painted desert, petrified forest, carlsbad caverns, meteorite crater, but still darn hot
New Mexico.... Hot like Arizona... but more boring
Wyoming, Montana, Washington, Colorado, Oregon, Utah, Arizona, all great states I wouldn't mind living in if I could get a good job there.
California.... If I could selectively remove ~30% of the population, and get rid of laws those 30% supported, it would be great. This is a great state spoiled by some of the people who inhabit it, and the laws that govern it.0 -
Nice pics. Looks like it was a heck of a lot of fun!
