FFL info

i am in process of filling out federal firearms license paperwork. I have several questions ( tried calling them(ATF) and was put on hold 25 mins). the picture they request states "full frontal view" Does this mean head to toes? or from shoulders up? There were 2 other forms that came with application; Enviromental and water quality issues...is that for FFL or maybe manufacturing; gun powder etc..business? I just want everything right... because of all horror stories I've heard about applications being kicked back for minor errors or omissions....for recent license applicants:did it take a long time to get approved ? any help is appreciated Thanks
P.S. what are passport photos? as apposed to regular photots? Thanks all for your replys

    Pics are head and shoulders atleast on our renewal forms. Not sure of the other questions.

    When did the pics crap come in? I renew on 09 for the fifth time and haven't ever had to go thru that. I'm in the stciks and all they ever asked me was did I have dogs and lock on the shop? Big Brother is gettin too big....

    They want "passport" pics, I took mine in the photo-booth at the mall[:0]
    Most photo shops will take passport photos, they are a 2" x 2" head and shoulder pic.

    Walgreens drug store, and many larger post offices will also take passport photos.

    I put my digital camera on a tripod and just stood against the wall in my shop. Put it on timer, snapped the pic (shoulders up), downloaded it to the computer, got the size right and printed it out...Free.[;)]

    I didn't send in the environmental forms I don't believe, been awhile.
